Job summary

JPMorganChase in Bengaluru, Enterprise Technology Team, seeks a Software Engineer III to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way. You will join an agile team and contribute to critical technology solutions across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities include building secure production code, leveraging AI-assisted tools, creating architecture artifacts, and developing APIs and microservices with Java and Python.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
• Proficiency in Java and Python, with experience building microservices-based applications; willingness to learn and adopt new technologies as needed
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), distributed systems, and web technologies including RESTful APIs, web services, WebSockets, and JSON
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect concepts and secure API access patterns
• Develop and operate microservices and APIs with strong SDLC discipline (testing, code reviews, automation, observability)
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies

You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities
