Bank of America in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Java and AWS engineer to design, develop, test, and deliver complex software solutions for the HPS platform. You will apply strong Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native practices to build secure, scalable applications and collaborate with product, architecture, and QA teams.

You will mentor teammates, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensure compliance, and drive reliable operations in a fast-paced, regulated enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 8-11 Yrs experience required
• Strong Java and AWS engineering expertise
• Familiarity with Spring Framework, RESTful APIs, and microservices
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes is a plus

• Contribute to requirements analysis, story refinement, estimation, and technical design.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain solutions meeting security, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Build proofs of concept and spikes to evaluate options and reduce delivery risk.

Job Description

Responsible for the design, development, testing, and delivery of complex software solutions for the HPS platform. The role applies strong Java and AWS engineering expertise, sound design principles, and modern DevOps practices to deliver secure, maintainable, scalable, and compliant applications. The engineer provides technical guidance, resolves complex issues, mentors team members, and collaborates with product, architecture, quality engineering, and business partners throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements analysis, story refinement, estimation, and technical design.
• Design, develop, unit test, and maintain solutions that meet acceptance, security, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Create proofs of concept and technical spikes to evaluate options and reduce delivery risk.
• Develop and integrate application components, APIs, data services, and solution enablers while maintaining architectural integrity.
• Lead low-level design and code reviews, promoting clean code, reusable patterns, and minimal technical debt.
• Diagnose complex application, integration, database, and production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, and release-readiness practices.
• Partner with the Product Owner and cross-functional teams to maintain clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Mentor engineers and promote effective planning, peer review, documentation, and Agile engineering practices.

Requirements

• Education- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline

• Experience Range-8-11 Yrs

Foundational skills:

• Java and Spring Boot application development.

Desired skills:

• Experience with ReactJS, Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Exposure to cloud migration, application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman and automated test frameworks.
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering, automation, and developer productivity tools.
• Experience in large-scale, regulated enterprise environments.
• Relevant AWS, Java, Kubernetes, or DevOps certification.
