Job summary

Fanatics Commerce seeks an experienced ERP Developer to maintain and modernize mission-critical ERP and manufacturing systems built on Informix 4GL and COBOL in Hyderabad. The role bridges legacy code with modern platforms, including Manhattan Active, to power Order Management, Inventory Control, and Fulfillment.

You will refactor legacy code, drive CI/CD adoption in legacy ERP environments, and contribute to a data-driven, scalable ERP stack in a global, distributed team.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Informix 4GL and Informix SQL.
• COBOL for ERP development, including refactoring and modernization.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments, with AIX experience preferred.
• 5+ years of ERP development experience with Informix 4GL; 2+ years COBOL development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize ERP modules powering Order Management, Inventory Control, and Fulfillment.
• Build APIs and wrapper services to connect legacy Informix/COBOL systems with Manhattan Active and other modern platforms.

Drive adoption of CI/CD practices within legacy ERP environments, introducing modern engineering discipline to traditionally static systems. Explore and evaluate tools such as Genero or similar low-code platforms to accelerate development and reduce technical debt. Identify opportunities to optimize Informix database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries for improved system performance and scalability.Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset) Take end-to-end ownership of ERP module development, enhancement, and maintenance across the full development lifecycle in Informix 4GL and COBOL. Prior experience in retail or supply chain ERP environments, with exposure to platforms such as Manhattan Active considered a strong advantage.
