Job summary

Google engineers build next-generation technologies at massive scale, spanning AI, software, and hardware. This role focuses on mid-level expert work across ML and software, contributing to deployment, optimization, and infrastructure improvements.

As part of Google’s AI/ML platform efforts, you will mentor others, write robust code, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with one or more ML areas such as speech/audio, RL, ML infrastructure, or related field.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging).

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio (e.g., technology duplicating and responding to the human voice), reinforcement learning (e.g., sequential decision making), ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing, building, or deploying LLM agentic harnesses, tool-use systems (Model Context Protocol/MCP, function-calling APIs), or developer productivity platforms.
