Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III in Hyderabad to join a fast‑moving agile team.

You will design and deliver secure, scalable digital products with accessibility, inclusivity, and compliance in mind, focusing on ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1 AA. You will perform accessibility testing across web and mobile platforms, validate with assistive technologies, review designs early in development, and contribute to automated test coverage and standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accessibility/ADA testing for web and/or mobile apps.
• Strong knowledge of ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1 AA standards and guidelines.
• Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
• Proficiency with accessibility testing tools (axe, WAVE) and ability to interpret findings beyond tool output.
• Strong test automation skills, including building/maintaining automated UI tests with accessibility checks.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and working in cross-functional teams.
• Standards: ADA, Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Tools: axe, WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack.
• Test Automation (examples): Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium.
• Ways of working: Agile, Jira, Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive accessibility testing for web and mobile applications.
• Validate user experiences with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.
• Review designs and requirements early, providing actionable accessibility feedback.
• Document accessibility defects with clear steps, WCAG mappings, severity, and fixes; verify remediation with Engineering.
• Partner with developers to troubleshoot issues and ensure fixes meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Build and maintain automated accessibility and UI test coverage (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright/Appium).
• Participate in accessibility reviews and audits and support compliance reporting.
• Contribute to accessibility testing standards, playbooks, and reusable assets.
• Support UAT and production readiness validation for accessibility releases.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools while ensuring security and peer-reviewed outputs.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation.

As Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer and Community Banking team, you will help ensure our digital products are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1 AA.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensiveaccessibility testingfor web and mobile applications usingmanual techniquesand industry-standard tools (e.g., axe, WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
• Validate user experiences withassistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, and alternative input devices.
• Reviewdesigns, user stories, and requirementsearly in the lifecycle and provide actionable accessibility feedback to Product and Design.
• Document accessibility defects with clear reproduction steps, WCAG mapping where applicable, severity/impact, and recommended fixes; verify remediation with Engineering.
• Partner with developers to troubleshoot issues and confirm fixes meetWCAG 2.1 AAexpectations without introducing regressions.
• Build and maintainautomated accessibility and UI test coverage(e.g., Selenium/Cypress/Playwright/Appium or equivalent), supporting shift-left quality and repeatable validation.
• Participate in accessibility reviews/audits and support evidence collection for compliance reporting as needed.
• Contribute to accessibility testing standards, playbooks, and reusable test assets; identify process improvements that increase coverage and speed.
• Support UAT and production readiness validation for accessibility-sensitive releases.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.

• Experience training or mentoring others on accessibility best practices.
• Working knowledge ofHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA(ability to pinpoint root cause and advise on remediation patterns).

• Experience operating in regulated environments and handling sensitive data appropriately (PCI familiarity is a plus, if applicable).
