Job summary

Blue Yonder is hiring in Hyderabad for a role focused on core responsibilities to architect, design and support a cloud-enabled SaaS product in Merchandise Management. The team comprises 45+ global associates across India, US and Mexico and will grow rapidly.

You will mentor junior to mid-level associates, engage in agile practices, and collaborate across design, testing and deployment. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in Snowflake development, solid communication, and exposure to PL/SQL, Oracle,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3–5 years of Snowflake development experience.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with team members.
• Good to have PL/SQL and Oracle database experience.
• Nice to have exposure to Kafka and Unix batch scripting.
• Proactive in keeping up with evolving technology trends.

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile team to create maintainable software components delivering maximum value to customers.
• Collaborate with teammates on design, implementation, testing, and code reviews of user stories and bugs.
• Analyze software issues and propose effective solutions.
• Participate in backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Build customer-specific interfaces and enhancements, and analyze defects to provide solutions.

Scope

Scope: Core responsibilities to include Architecting, designing and supporting (along with counterparts, distinguished consultants and architects) a ground up cloud enabled SaaS product in Merchandise Management in retail space. The team currently comprises of 45+ global associates across India (COE), US and Mexico and is expected to grow rapidly. The incumbent will need to have good communication and leadership qualities, also mentor junior and mid-level associates in our team. Technical environment: Software: React JS, Node JS, Oracle PL/SQL, Rest API. Java script, Unix, Cognos. Application Architecture: Scalable three tier web application. Cloud Architecture: Private cloud, MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD) Frameworks/Others: GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps, JIRA, Service NOW Type ORM, Express.

What you’ll do

• Works in an agile team to create highly useful, easily maintainable software components that deliver maximum value to the customer.
• Closely interacts and collaborates with other team members on design, implementation, testing, and code review of user stories and bug fixes.
• Analyze software related issues and propose solutions
• Participate in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Keeps up to date with technology and research latest trends in the industry.
• Build customer specific interfaces and enhancements.
• Analyze customer reported defects and provide the solution.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B. Tech/M. Tech Computer science or related specialization) and minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Snowflake Development.
• Strong communications skill.
• Good to have PL/SQL, Oracle database.
• Good to have exposure to Kafka
• Good to have experience in Unix Batch scripting.
