Job summary

7 Eleven Corporate Services is seeking a Software Engineer - II to join the Bengaluru-based team. The role focuses on building scalable middleware and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and AWS cloud services, with exposure to Python scripting and NoSQL databases.

You will collaborate across teams to drive architectural strategy and deliver high-quality software. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of Java experience, 2+ years AWS experience, and strong DevOps, testing, and Agile/SCRUM practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of Java development experience with API effort using Java & Spring.
• 2+ years of AWS cloud experience and modern cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3).
• Experience building RESTful APIs and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Agile/SCRUM practices.

Job Description

We are looking for a Software engineer, who is proficient with building APIs using Java and AWS cloud technologies. Your primary focus will be on developing sophisticated, scalable middleware platform using RESTful / Serverless API's to be consumed across 7-Eleven. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities

Nice to Have

• Experience in python scripting is good to have.
• Experience with POS and Credit card payment processing is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS tools and methodologies.
• Highly responsible, self-disciplined, self-managed, self-motivated, able to work with little or no supervision.
• Passion to understand, learn, and dissect new technologies quickly on your own.
• Extensive experience working on multiple projects at a time in a fast paced, results oriented environment.
