Job summary

NIKE Retail Services seeks a Software Engineer II to design and build data platforms and integration services on the Nike cloud platform. You will work in a collaborative team delivering API-first microservices at scale, leveraging AWS and modern data tools.

You will contribute to AI/ML initiatives, ensure code quality with testing, participate in code reviews, and follow Agile and DevOps practices to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience with distributed systems and data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Java.
• Deep expertise with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, SQS, DynamoDB, S3).
• Hands-on with AWS RDS, Apache Spark or Databricks.
• Experience delivering API-first microservices at scale.
• Proficiency in containerized app development and deployment.
• Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins.
• Terraform and CloudFormation for IaC.
• Familiarity with VS Code, GitHub Copilot.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will join a collaborative engineering team specialized in developing cloud-native applications and integration solutions with the help of AI. The group combines technical expertise with functional knowledge of Finance & Procurement to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

As part of this team, you will be involved in designing and building services in a continuous delivery model on the Nike cloud platform. This role will also partner with leads and architects to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative services which are consistent, robust, maintainable, and highly scalable. You will regularly interact with Procurement capability team, other engineering teams, and technical peers to ensure solutions meet global expectations for financial service, security, reliability, and performance. We follow agile methodologies and practice DevOps.

• - Deep expertise with cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, CLI)
• - Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, Apache Spark or Databricks
• - Proven ability to deliver high-impact, API-first microservices at scale.
• - Proficiency in containerized application development and deployment
• - Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins
• - Demonstrated expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code operations
• - Familiarity and development experience with tools like VS Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot
• - Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• - Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• - Preferred to have some knowledge of AI & ML
• - Integration experience with SaaS platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba), SAP, and middleware solutions (Oracle Fusion) is a plus
• - Working experience integrating with open-source applications (e.g., Kafka, NiFi) is a plus
