We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (Backend) to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services and data-intensive applications. You will work on Python-based services, databases, and data pipelines while collaborating with engineering partners to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing.
Work with MySQL, Hive, Trino, and Apache Spark to support data storage, querying, and processing requirements.
Improve service reliability, performance, and scalability through thoughtful design and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders on technical design, code reviews, and delivery.
Write clean, maintainable code and contribute toengineering best practices.
3+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend engineering.
Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Django.
Working knowledge of MySQL and experience with Hive, Trino, and Spark for data querying and processing.
Practical experience developing or maintaining data pipelines.
Strong understanding of backend fundamentals, API development, debugging, and performance optimization.
Ability to own engineering tasks, collaborate effectively, and deliver production-quality software.
