Job summary

Smart Data Solutions in Chennai is seeking a Software Engineer I, Machine Learning to join our team. You will build, deploy, and improve ML models and related applications, and help scale ML infrastructure in a healthcare data processing environment.

Candidates should have a 4-year CS degree and 1+ year ML experience, with proficiency in Python or other OO languages, knowledge of ML/NLP libraries, and exposure to LLMs and RAGs. Strong documentation and collaboration skills are valued.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in computer science or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience with machine learning, NLP, or deep learning concepts
• Experience with LLMs and RAGs
• Proficiency in at least 1 modern object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C#, C++, etc.)
• Knowledge of common ML, NLP, CV, and data science libraries
• Basic relational database knowledge (MySQL)
• Basic Unix-like OS knowledge
• Experience with Git/Version Control
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Ability to analyze processes and identify improvements

What you’ll be doing?

• Build, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve machine learning models.
• Design and implement new applications leveraging machine learning and related technology.
• Develop and improve machine learning infrastructure.
• Analyze and automate existing processes using machine learning.
• Investigate and remediate issues with machine learning processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for?

• 4-year degree in computer science or equivalent degree.
• 1+ year of experience with machine learning, NLP, or deep learning concepts.
• Must have experience with LLMs and RAGs.
