Job summary

HARMAN India is seeking an experienced Build and Integration Engineer with Yocto Project expertise to configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems. You will develop Yocto layers and recipes, integrate third-party libraries, and optimize build processes.

Responsibilities include triaging build failures, collaborating with CI/Build teams, and ensuring efficient workflows with DevOps. Requires strong C, Linux, and scripting skills, plus Git/Gitlab CI experience.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes, layers, and customizing images within continuous integration (CI) environment.
• Knowledge and Hands-on experience of scripting languages (Python, shell-scripting).
• Proficient in C programming and Linux.
• Experience in version control systems (e.g., Git) and build automation tools.
• Familiarity with tools like menuconfig, make, and kernel patches.
• Experience with Jfrog, Artifactory, Gitlab CI.
• Knowledge of automotive infotainment system architecture and components.

What You Need to Be Successful:
