We drive technology vision, architecture, and design systems that help the company deliver major business processes (go-to-market, sales, finance, and customer support etc.). We deliver applications and products that let our customers do business with us in a seamless way, help grow our top line and increase our efficiency.

As a Software Engineer, you will participate in the feature development (design, coding and testing), be responsible for overall codebase quality by participating in design reviews, code reviews, following coding guidelines and general technical discussion, as well as learn new technologies and frameworks required for the projects.

At LinkedIn, we trust each other to do our best work where it works best for us and our teams. This role offers a hybrid work option with two days of working from home and three days commute to LinkedIn Bengaluru office.

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
• 3+ years of experience in programming experience in Java or C#.
• 3+ years of experience with semantic HTML, CSS and object-oriented JavaScript.
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of programming experience in full stack development.
• Experience in modern JavaScript/TypeScript/similar languages; frameworks such as React/similar
• Experience with designing and developing enterprise applications using Java/C#.
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
• Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
• Experience working with cloud technology such as Azure
• Experience writing scalable and efficient enterprise applications
• Experience using message queues such as Kafka
• Experience using NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB
• Experience with unit and e2e testing frameworks
• Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in backend architecture, including performance, security and scalability
• Prior experience building public APIs with Java/similar
• Familiarity and comfort with command-line applications, Git source control and other aspects of developing in large, distributed software teams
• Strong written and verbal communicator who is very organized and able to think entrepreneurially
• Works well in cross-collaboration environment
