Job Description

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA, is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

The GSS organization's Engineering group develops data systems for improved diagnostics and predictive maintenance. The data systems monitor the performance of fleets of KLA test and measurement equipment in semiconductor fabrication plant environments. They collect, transform, and store data. They provide visualizations, recommendations based on analytics, and alerts. This exciting position will enable you to interact with a wide variety of engineers and KLA system data.

Responsibilities

Do you have a passion for coding, data exploration, and UI design? Are you looking for a role where you can develop reactive, modern user interfaces working with highly collaborative teams?

As a Software engineer, you will work with our team of software, data and algorithm engineers on the design and development of web applications using real‑time data visualization tools. Collaborating with domain experts and software engineers, you will gather requirements, translate user needs to design and develop software specifications, select software components, follow best coding practices, and develop User Interfaces that help our engineers to more effectively monitor, diagnose and optimize KLA semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms)
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries/frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, etc.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as C#, C++, Java, Python etc.
• Experience developing clean, efficient, and performant user interfaces
• Full stack development experience
• Strong communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with Human Centered Design, and interest in working with users to understand their needs and building interfaces to meet them
• Experience using charting libraries such as D3, Chart.js
• Experience with REST interfaces
• Ability to structure and build complex client‑side applications
• Familiarity with NodeJS, ASP.NET Core, Django or similar back end frameworks
• Experience working in a service‑oriented or microservice architecture
• Experience with modern software engineering practices (XP)
• Experience using artificial intelligence in software engineering

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
