New Street Tech in Bengaluru is hiring a Software Engineer for our DevOps team to build the pipeline that ships our platform—CI/CD automation, containerisation, environment provisioning and deployment tooling.

You will work under the guidance of a senior engineer, focusing on rapid learning and contributing code that improves the product. This early-career role emphasizes growth, hands-on testing, and ownership over modules.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of DevOps or infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency with Linux, Docker, Git and CI concepts.
• One scripting language (Python or shell) and basic AWS.
• BE, BTech, MCA or equivalent.
• Git daily use including branching and pull requests.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar codebases with guidance.
• Clear communication and ability to explain what you built and why.

Responsibilities

• Build the CI/CD pipeline for the product.
• Work on code with a senior engineer reviewing changes.
• Debug and improve codebase through small fixes.
• Write automated tests from day one.
• Own a module end-to-end within a few quarters.

We are hiring a Software Engineer for our DevOps team. You will build the pipeline that ships our platform — CI/CD automation, containerisation, environment provisioning and deployment tooling.

Every piece of work you do is reviewed by a senior engineer. That is the point: we are hiring for how fast you improve, not for what you already know.

Key Responsibilities

• Build the pipeline

  CI/CD automation, containerisation, environment provisioning and deployment tooling.

• Build under review

  Real work on the real product, with a senior engineer reviewing every change.

• Fix and learn

  Bug fixes and small enhancements are how you learn the codebase properly.

• Write tests

  Your own, from the start — it is not a separate phase here.

• Grow into ownership

  Own a module end to end within two to three quarters.

What You Bring

• 1–2 years of professional DevOps or infrastructure experience.
• Linux; Docker; Git and CI concepts.
• One scripting language (Python or shell); basic cloud (AWS preferred).
• BE, BTech, MCA or equivalent.
• Git as a daily tool, including branching and pull requests.
• The ability to pick up an unfamiliar codebase with guidance and not stall.
• You take code-review feedback well. This matters more here than your current stack.
• Clear communication — you can explain what you built and why.

What Would Be Great to Have

• Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, monitoring tooling, any home-lab or self-hosted setup.
• A side project you can talk about in detail, including what you would now do differently.
• Exposure to a second track — we rotate engineers across product, dashboards and client delivery.
