Job summary

NetApp Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Member of Technical Staff 2 to resolve complex ONTAP issues and drive product fixes. You will collaborate with Support and engineering teams to identify defects and develop fixes, while contributing to automation that speeds troubleshooting.

You will work with cross-functional teams across Support, Development, QA, and Product Management to resolve issues, leveraging logs, traces, and telemetry for deep diagnostics and improved diagnosability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/CE/EE or related discipline.
• Hands-on debugging in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Experience with Google Cloud and Kubernetes.
• Strong OS, networking, and distributed systems knowledge.

Job Requirements

• Experience in storage networking is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud and experience with distributed cloud environments, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python with hands-on debugging experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex, ambiguous problems in large-scale distributed storage systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Experience developing diagnostic tools or automation for production issue analysis.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers or customer-facing engineering teams.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
