Job Description

We are looking to hire a Software Engineer (BI)/Analytics developer, with excellent technical and communication skills, to effectively collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop functionality and enhancements. The Software Engineer in his/her day to day operations, will also field and resolve usage issues and perform other duties as assigned, that are in line with the role’s responsibilities and are required for the business.

Responsibilities

• I. Designing, Developing and Deploying reports using Business Intelligence Technologies and Analytics tools
• Translate stakeholder deliverables into the project methodology deliverables that result in design, such as functional specifications, use cases, workflow & process diagrams, data flow & data model diagrams.
• Assist in the development of logical and physical data models for designing/developing Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse requirements.
• Perform table and interface design, development of logical and physical data model/database, ETL processes, BI reporting/OLAP cubes/OLAP reporting and population of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries while meeting business/user requirements.
• Design and analyse reports using Visual Studio, Report Designer, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.
• Design and analyse reports using PowerBI/Tableau. Experience on Matallion is a plus.
• Design the architecture, Data warehouse, data marts and BI reports which will support various data initiatives.
• ETL design, development, support of reporting tools and processes
• Apply role-based access (security) of the reports. Integrating active directory with cubebased Reports.
• Design and develop extremely reliable, scalable and high performing reports
• Ensure quality of the code using code quality tools and frequent code reviews
• Deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting on-demand and scheduled BI reports.
• Ensure proper source code management of reports, stored procedures and database definitions
• Provide other members of the development team with support and advice in the best use of RS and other Visualization tools.
• Experience on Cloud warehouse and Analytics tools.
• Experience on Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning Model Evaluation
• Experience on using AI tools, machine learning concepts, predicative modeling using different modeling techniques.

Essential experience

• Demonstrated experience in different report visualization tools like SSRS , PowerBI and Tableau.
• Demonstrated experience in cloud warehouse technology.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional problems with intuitive problem-solving techniques
• Experience with data analysis, data modelling, data warehouse experience is a must
• Possess an extremely sound understanding of Data Warehouse design and best practices.
• Strong technical background in BI platform specifically SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and other Visualization tools like power BI , Tableau, snowflake, Azure data Lakehouse.

Ideal candidate

• A graduate / post-graduate in computer science / technology / engineering or mathematics
• Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Between 3-6 years of strong hands-on experience with BI Development expertise using SQL Server Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services and Report Manager, Visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau.
• Should have a solid understanding of AI tools, machine learning concepts, and predictive modeling methodologies
• Strong experience on parameterization, performance optimization and hands‑on Transact-SQL.
• Good data modelling experience will be essential
• Ability to work individually or within a team environment.
• Ability to participate in multiple projects & tasks and priorities in a healthy work environment
• Proficient in documentation as well as process and workflow design and
• Command of version control methodologies, preferably with GIT/Bitbucket
• Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines
