Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of related experience for Bachelor’s route, 4+ for Master’s, 2+ for PhD.
• Experience with Golang, Python, SQL, and frontend JS/TS frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, containerization, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Your Impact Cisco CX Engineering is seeking a Software Development Engineer to drive innovation and develop solutions for customer’s most pressing usecase with a focus on incorporating AI and ML. This role requires deep technical expertise in network automation, full-stack development, and applicable AI use-cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications across the full stack (front-end, back-end, and integration layers). Architect and develop robust systems with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• AI/ML Integration: Incorporate AI and ML-driven features into product solutions, ensuring real-world applicability and responsible AI practices.
• Collaboration & Process: Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality products. Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Quality & Security: Conduct thorough code reviews, automated testing, and maintain comprehensive documentation. Ensure adherence to security best practices, code quality, and maintainability standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience, or PhD with 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following: Golang, Python, Pytest, SQL (preferably PostgreSQL), Angular, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with one or more of the following: microservices, Kubernetes, containerization, virtualization, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience integrating AI features (AI-assisted code generation), event-driven architecture (Apache Kafka) and real-time data pipelines.
• Experience with RESTful API design, API security, or hierarchical and relational data modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Git, system design, or application performance optimization.
• Experience with testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Experience with secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or object storage platforms such as MinIO or Amazon S3.
• Problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing delivery skills.
