Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited is seeking an AWS IoT & Backend Engineer to design and manage scalable IoT solutions linking robots and edge devices with AWS cloud and backend systems. You will work on core AWS IoT, MQTT, backend services, telemetry pipelines, OTA updates, security, and troubleshooting across the stack.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on IoT/backend experience, onsite in Chennai, with proficiency in Docker, Linux, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD, plus networking and device

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on IoT backends experience.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IoT Core and MQTT communications.
• Experience with Python/FastAPI or Node.js/NestJS backend development.
• Familiarity with TLS/mTLS, X.509 certificates, and IoT security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage AWS IoT Core and MQTT-based device communication.
• Implement MQTT QoS, TLS/mTLS, X.509 certificates, and IoT policies.
• Build backend services and APIs using Python/FastAPI or Node.js/NestJS.
• Integrate AWS services including SQS, ECS/EC2, S3, ECR, Aurora PostgreSQL, IAM, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
• Design telemetry data pipelines, device management, and database solutions.
• Develop OTA update workflows with deployment tracking, failure handling, and rollback.
• Implement monitoring, logging, retries, security, and fault-tolerant communication.
• Work with Docker, Linux, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot issues across robots, edge devices, MQTT, AWS, backend, databases, and networking.
