Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Software Engineer II with 3+ years of experience to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services using Java. You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions and to build automated validation frameworks for functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications, services, and automation solutions using Java and related technologies.

• Improve test coverage, automation maturity, and quality metrics across products and services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are integrated throughout the delivery process.
• Apply secure coding standards and contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, observability, and reliability practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity while maintaining quality and security standards.

Role Summary
