Job summary

Hiringhood is seeking a Software Engineer in Pune, India to design, build, and scale AI-powered solutions. You will work on Rust backend services, modern frontend with Svelte/SvelteKit, and AI features using LanceDB, embeddings, and GenAI workflows.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while upholding data privacy, security, and governance practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on development experience with Rust.
• Hands-on experience with Svelte/SvelteKit for frontend development.
• Hands-on experience with LanceDB.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing backend services, APIs and integrations.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Understanding of Generative AI and LLM fundamentals.
• Understanding of embeddings and vector search, vector databases, RAG, LLM APIs and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance backend services using Rust.
• Develop modern, responsive web applications using Svelte/SvelteKit.
• Build and manage vector search and AI retrieval capabilities using LanceDB.
• Design and implement RAG and GenAI-powered applications.
• Integrate LLMs and AI services into enterprise applications.
• Develop workflows involving embeddings, semantic search and contextual retrieval.
• Implement appropriate security and privacy controls around sensitive enterprise data.
• Contribute to DLP, data governance and AI governance implementation.
