Job summary

Saint Gobain is hiring a dynamic data engineer with 3+ years of experience in Snowflake SQL and DBT. Location is Mumbai/Navi Mumbai with hybrid work mode. You will design, build and optimize data pipelines and data models to support warehousing and analytics initiatives, including work with Azure Synapse.

Responsibilities include creating scalable ETL/ELT processes, implementing DBT models, validating data, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL and DBT.
• Strong SQL development: queries, views, procedures, data models.
• Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines and data validation.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
• Build and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data models.
• Develop ELT/ETL processes for loading data from multiple sources into Snowflake.
• Implement DBT models, snapshots, tests, and documentation to ensure data quality.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, partitioning, and warehouse tuning.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and architects to understand requirements.
• Support data warehousing, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
• Work with Azure ecosystem and assist in data movement activities involving Synapse.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and best practices.
