Job summary

Morningstar is seeking a skilled software professional to join the Product and Engineering team in Mumbai. You will design and develop web and enterprise solutions using ReactJS, Java, and Spring, while improving data flows and DB design for scalable platforms.

You will contribute to agile practices, CI/CD, and hands-on development, shaping modern software practices and deploying automated deployments. Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• 1-2 Years of experience on ReactJS or equivalent UI framework.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, NodeJS.
• Experience with AI-augmented development tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Hands-on in Java/Web-services/Spring/SpringBoot.
• Very Strong knowledge of databases and hands on MS SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL DB DynamoDB/MongoDB.
• Experienced with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Be aware of activity in the open-source world.Contributing back to open source is a big plus.
• Participation in full life-cycle system development with teams of developers, analysts, and testers.
• Experience with modern development practices in areas of Product design, Requirement Analysis, Test Driven Development, Automation & Unit Testing, in a product development environment.
• Excellent listening,writtenand verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with architecture trade-off analysis methods and domain-driven design preferred.

In this role, you will collaborate with teamleader, scrum Master, data analysts, and developers to build technology solutions for Equity applications. You should havestrongunderstanding of ReactJS, Core Java, JSP, Spring, SQL,Componentbased architectures and create scalable, flexible technical solutions. You would support existing systems, study their enterprisecomplexitiesand develop/implement better systems with modern software development practices. Developinggoodunderstanding of existing systems on other platforms and its database is a beginning step.

Working Conditions

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting.Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day.Limited corporate travel may berequiredto remote offices or other business meetings and events.
