Job summary

Quantbot is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help design, build, and operate scalable production systems. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building reliable, scalable, and maintainable production systems
• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating backend or full-stack applications at scale
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or C#
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, containers, and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of software design principles, coding standards, testing, performance, security, and production reliability
• Ability to understand ambiguous requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, and independently drive solutions from design through production
