Job summary

L&T is hiring an experienced embedded software engineer to build and maintain large-scale, reliable systems. You will debug customer deployments, design diagnostic code, investigate failures, and create tools to boost developer productivity.

You will work with real-time and embedded OS such as Linux, VxWorks and QNX, and develop software communicating over Serial, Ethernet, 1553, CAN, NMEA, and Modbus. Strong problem solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of how operating systems work at the kernel level.
• Hands-on experience writing multi-threaded and multi-process code.
• Solid knowledge of inter-process communication methods.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals including IP protocols, VLANs and Ethernet switching.
• Track record building distributed systems where components talk to each other reliably.
• Proven ability to find bugs quickly by breaking down complex problems.
• Skill in integrating different software modules into a working whole.
• Comfort with Linux as a development environment and Jira for tracking work.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills to explain technical issues to colleagues and customers.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities without losing focus.
