Job summary

NatWest Group in Chennai is seeking a Software Engineer at AVP level to engineer and maintain innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure software. Youll work within a feature team, collaborating with engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform to deliver robust software solutions.

Youll contribute to the full life cycle from design through deployment, emphasizing scalable, automated, and secure code.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Java, microservices with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker for deploying and managing cloud-native applications
• Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD, Ansible for configuration management, and Helm Charts for Kubernetes deployments
• Proficient in AWS, Azure or GCP, PostgreSQL optimization, and secure secrets management using HashiCorp Vault
• Experience of DevOps, Testing and Agile methodology and associated toolsets
• A background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems
• Experience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance

• Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning

What you\'ll do

You\’ll be working within a feature team and using your extensive experience to engineer software, scripts and tools that are often complex, as well as liaising with other engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform.

The skills you\'ll need
