Job summary

Applied Systems India Pvt Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Script Engineer to join the IVANS team. You will collaborate with a diverse engineering group to design, develop, and deploy software solutions that drive our insurtech offerings.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, API work, data transformation, and a strong foundation in XML/XSD/JSON/HTML/CSS, Angular, TypeScript, and Java. 2–3 years of experience and a collaborative mindset are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years hands-on software development experience and SDLC understanding.
• Ability to read and create complex mapping documents.
• Willingness to learn current tech stack and adapt quickly.
• Knowledge of XML/XSD/JSON/XSLT/Java is expected.

Responsibilities

• Codes and develop software applications as part of a development team.
• Analyzes requirements, documents specs, writes, reviews, and debugs code.
• Develops and maintains documentation or user manuals.
• Understands software architecture, development methodologies, and coding standards.
• Tackles complex issues with minimal supervision.
• Communicates status updates clearly to management.
• Works on API knowledge, data transformation concepts and scripting/engineering tasks.

Position Overview

We’re searching for a Software Script Engineer to join our IVANS team in Bengaluru location. To keep us headed in the right direction, we’re looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team’s diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.

What You’ll Do

• Codes and develop software applications. Works as part of a development team in the design and development of software applications.
• Conducts requirement analysis, documents for technical specifications, writes, reviews, and debugs code. Recommends product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback. Develops and maintains documentation or user manuals.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, and coding standards.
• Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues/problems and refers only to the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Competencies Debugging skills, problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, ability to work as part of a team.
• Performs other duties as assigned by immediate manager or management team.
• Communicates timely and clear status updates to appropriate management
• API knowledge and data transformation concepts and ability to work on both scripting and engineering tasks
• Technical expertise in XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, HTML, CSS, Angular, Typescript, Java, (Knowledge on AI tools Github Copilot, Claude)

• 2 to 3 years of hands‑on experience Strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Ability to create, read, and understand complex mapping documents.
• Enhance technical skills through hands‑on experience with the current tech stack.
• Technical expertise in XML, XSD, JSON, XSLT, Java.
• Knowledge of Mapforce and Python would be added advantage.
