Overview

The IBNG (Intent based Networking Group) develops software across the routing, switch and wireless platform portfolio at Cisco and is transforming networking through cutting-edge solutions. The Enterprise Routing portfolio includes SDWAN, SASE, Branch Security, Application Aware Routing, Centralized Policy, Cloud Controllers, Cloud Networking, COLO, SaaS Gateway, Cloud onramp and other next generation technology for WAN Infra. Cisco has platforms from low end branches to high end data centres and cloud routing to extend the enterprise network.

Your Impact

We are looking for a high energy, self-motivated Software Developer to join the Enterprise Routing Technical Team. You will independently execute given functionality or features and contribute to the end-to-end Solution Automation Framework for next generation SDWAN solutions (SASE, SaaS gateway, branch security, COLO, Application QoE, Application Aware Routing). Responsibilities include building solutions on multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), Cloud controllers, Application Analytics, REST infrastructure, and following CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to subsystem architecture design and write functional specifications
• Write and/or provide input to design specifications
• Develop complex features and multiple modules of code
• Debug problems of complex scope at the system level
• Write unit tests and perform subsystem/system level testing
• Identify and resolve problems found during verification or testing at customer sites
• Learn new technologies and development tools as required
• Work in a highly-collaborative and fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision

Qualifications

• BE/BTECH/MCA with EE/CS degree and 8+ years of experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Java, Python, Golang, Shell scripts, data structures, design patterns and algorithms
• Understanding of product-level architecture and contribution to bigger architecture in modules of ownership
• Good understanding of digital certificates (issuance, renewal, revocation, configuration, maintenance, etc.)
• Experience with software package updates, patching and deployment
• Experience identifying and redesigning code to address scale and performance issues
• Strong problem solving and software development/troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Containers, Container Networking, Container Orchestration, VMs and other network services
• Exposure to SDN/NFV concepts and related technologies
• Independent worker with self-motivation and enthusiasm
• Working experience in Java/Python/Golang programming, database programming, and AI/ML exposure for IP routing and SDWAN features
• Knowledge of Public Clouds, VMware virtualization, OpenStack, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Bitbucket, JIRA, Jenkins and related tools
