Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a software engineering professional to contribute to the Commercial Process Division (CPD) within the Power and Energy Group. You will help deliver IT initiatives, collaborate across teams, and drive automation to enhance customer solutions.

The role emphasizes designing and implementing software with an Agile mindset in a five-day in-office work schedule, leveraging Azure DevOps and a range of languages and tools.

Formación

• Agile mindset and experience working in product teams.
• Experience in Azure DevOps Framework.
• Experience with the .NET Framework.
• Automation & AI thinking is required.
• Cyber safe approach to development.
• DevOps, CI/CD practices and automated testing.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Angular, Python, Java/JavaScript, C#, PHP, Ruby, SQL, ASP.Net, Snaplogic, DataStage).
• This role requires a 5-day in-office work week.

Responsabilidades

• Solve customers' toughest challenges by delivering technological initiatives within the CPD of the Power and Energy Group.
• Develop and deliver services, solutions, and processes supporting Caterpillar's customer commitments including Dealer Network.
• Collaborate with business partners and enterprise teams to create IT & Business strategies for CPD.
• Work across multiple teams to gather requirements and align technology capabilities.
• Design, modify, develop, write and implement software applications using agile methods.
• Capture client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Write source code for new or existing applications and enhance code samples.
• Utilize automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance.

What Will You Do

• This position will help Caterpillar solve its customers’ toughest challenges while building a better and more sustainable world. This person will deliver technological initiatives inside of the Commercial Process Division (CPD), part of the Power and Energy Group.
• This business segment focuses on the development and delivery of services, solutions, and processes to support the Caterpillar commitment to our customers including our Dealer Network.
• The incumbent will collaborate with business partners and enterprise teams in creation of Business relevant IT & Business Strategies for CPD.
• Expected to work across multiple teams, understanding requirements and technology capabilities.
• Designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications for target system using agile methods.
• Acquiring client requirements; resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Writing source codes for new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
• Utilizing automated testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance.
