Job summary

GE Vernova in Bengaluru seeks a senior software engineer to design and deliver mobile and web solutions. You will develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and a MAUI-based mobile platform while ensuring quality through automated testing and performance tuning.

The role requires strong C#/.NET, REST API design, and front-end skills with ReactJS. You will work with AWS/Azure, Docker, and modern DevOps practices, mentoring colleagues and driving architectural initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Contribute , design, and development of RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET, ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC), and Entity Framework
• Develop mobile platform using MAUI technology.
• Understanding of engineering best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, code reviews, technical standards, and documentation
• Build front-end experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript with ReactJS
• Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, design, implementation, automated testing (unit, integration, UI), performance, and deployment
• Design for reliability, scalability, and security in AWS; containerize and ship services with Docker
• Work across data stores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Implement and improve observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) and drive operational excellence
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to enhance product features and developer productivity
• Ensure secure development practices including SAST/DAST and remediation of findings
• Mentor and coach engineers; lead technical initiatives and collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders

Must-have qualifications

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience with 2 to 5 Years.

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

• Master's Degree/ PHD in Computer Science
• Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming
• Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Power & Water)
• Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
