Job summary

Nexie in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a skilled software developer to own and build an AI-native platform that transforms ecommerce interactions.

You will work with cutting-edge technology, focusing on LLM integration, product design, and performance optimization, making a significant impact in the ecommerce space. Ideal candidates should have 2–4 years of experience and a strong grasp of modern software development tools.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience shipping production software (frontend + backend).
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs is a hard requirement.
• Strong grasp of REST/GraphQL, auth, caching, and event-driven workflows.
• Experience with SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL) and CI/CD.
• A non-trivial side project, ideally vibe-coded, that can be tried.

Responsibilities

• Own real surface area end-to-end, from product UI to services and agents.
• Design and ship agentic workflows and integrate LLM-powered features.
• Drive performance, reliability, security, and deployment processes.
• Prototype in hours, leveraging AI to its limits.

Your Role

• Own real surface area end-to-end — from product UI to the services and agents behind it
• Design and ship agentic workflows: tool-use, orchestration, memory, and the evals that keep them honest
• Build and integrate LLM-powered features against real APIs in production
• Drive performance, reliability, security, and DX (testing, CI/CD, observability)
• Prototype in hours, ship in days — leverage AI to its limit, not as a gimmick

You Bring

• 2–4 yrs shipping production software (frontend + backend; React/Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js or Python)
• Hands‑on experience building with LLM APIs — not a nice‑to‑have, a hard requirement
• Strong grasp of REST/GraphQL, auth, caching, and event‑driven workflows
• SQL databases (Postgres/MySQL), an ORM, and cloud/containers/CI/CD in production
• Fluency with AI‑assisted coding — you treat the tooling as a force multiplier
• A non‑trivial side project you built — ideally vibe‑coded — that we can actually try. Not optional. Share the link, not your commit history.

Bonus

• Background in SaaS or ecommerce tools
• Applied ML / GenAI work beyond calling an API
• Knowledge of design systems / component libraries
