Job summary

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is seeking a Test Engineer to ensure quality across applications, systems, and projects. You will design and maintain automated testing solutions, providing testing expertise and direction to meet design specifications.

Responsibilities include creating manual and automated test cases, maintaining traceability, and mentoring a team of test engineers within a hybrid 3 onsite / 2 remote model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of related experience in test engineering.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

The Impact You Will Have In This Role

The Test Engineering role is responsible for ensuring that all applications, system products, projects, and solutions meet defined enterprise quality standards. Provide centralized, independent quality assurance services across the firm, including functional and non‑functional testing for all products, services, and applications across businesses. Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions, providing testing expertise, oversight, and direction to ensure the functionality of solutions and that design specifications are met.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and complete manual test cases based on user stories; present results and track defects to closure.
• Prepare, maintain, and complete automated test scripts.
• Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts.
• Review test cases / automation approach with customer to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback.
• Track test execution milestones, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines.
• Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success.
• Construct appropriate end‑2‑end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals.
• Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
• Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; handle and maintain environment and data.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases.
• Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered.
• Responsible for process compliance & associated documentation.
• Aligns risk and control processes into day‑to‑day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed For Success

• Minimum of 4+ years of related experience.
• Hands on experience in API/XML Testing and Selenium with Java.
• Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
• Experience with front‑end & backend testing using Java and Selenium.
• Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.
• In depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes).
• Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black‑box and both non‑Blackbox testing, as well as regression testing.
• Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team independently, both individually and as part of a team.
• Preferably from Financial domain.
