Job summary

Amazon in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Development Engineer for Payments Acceptance and Experience to help build the next generation of online payment systems across multiple countries and payment methods. You will design and implement multi-tier distributed applications that handle high-volume, ensuring accuracy, speed, and availability in alignment with our payment platform goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

• Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles.
• Must be able to independently design code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
• Must be able to effectively collaborate in a fast paced environment with multiple teams in a large organization (software development, QA, Project/Release Management, Build and Release, etc.).
• Provide on-call production support for payment platform applications

Primary Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
