Job summary

ADCI HYD 13 SEZ in Hyderabad is seeking a software development engineer to join the Ordering team. You will dive into large-scale distributed systems, own components end-to-end, and help scale the marketplace platform to millions of customers.

You will design flexible, scalable solutions, apply data structures and algorithms, and work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software that powers the global Amazon experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one language.

We, the Ordering team, need strong software development engineers, able to dive deep into abstract problems and come up with innovative designs to help us continuously make our platform ready for our current and future challenges. You need to be an active practitioner of engineering excellence: keeping a high bar for quality, consistency, maintainability, efficiency, security and all the other things that make great software great. You will work with the best of Amazon to build systems that accelerates our engineering and product teams. SDEs at Amazon work on real world problems on a global scale, own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions customers around the world. At Amazon an SDE can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming. Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
• Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
• Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems with exposure to innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
• Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.
• Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.

About The Team

Ordering stands at the heart of Amazon retail, guiding the journey from purchase to delivery to resolution, and this new site will play a pivotal role in its evolution. We, the Ordering team, need founding members of software development engineers team, able to dive deep into abstract problems and come up with innovative designs to help us continuously make our platform ready for our current and future challenges.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
