Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for Last Mile Planning to develop routing software for efficient delivery. The candidate should possess over 3 years in professional software development, with a focus on architecture and end-to-end delivery.

The Routing and Planning (RaP) organization, within the Last Mile Technology (LMT) organization, plays a pivotal role in Amazon's mission to deliver packages to billions of customers worldwide. Our goal is to create the most efficient, reliable, and high‑quality route plans for our drivers while ensuring safe, low‑touch, and high‑throughput solutions for operations. We’re challenged to constantly improve and innovate on our routing and planning software to support Amazon's promise of fast and reliable deliveries. The technology that are developed by our teams include a wide breadth of solutions from machine learning and operations research‑based routing and planning algorithms, in‑house maps and navigation platform, IoT and hardware innovations, doorstep delivery experience, and consumer‑grade native mobile apps that bring all these experiences together.
As an SDE‑2, you will develop a deep understanding of our business, work closely with development teams, own the architecture and end‑to‑end delivery of software components, and collaborate with research scientists, senior engineers, and product managers to develop software that automatically creates the best package plans used worldwide, multiple times, every day. You should love solving hard problems in a collaborative environment, maintain high standards for quality and maintainability, and grow into a space where you can have high impact on customers.
