The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is seeking a Test Engineer Associate Director in our India locale to accelerate data governance and metadata initiatives, reducing risks and improving delivery velocity. You will lead test strategy and automation within a collaborative, hybrid work model.

You will mentor SDETs, work with Agile teams to define testable requirements, and ensure governance and compliance across the SDLC for enterprise data initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience in testing and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of metadata management and governance tools.
• Experience with automation, testing frameworks, and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive test strategy across functional, regression, integration, performance, resiliency, and automation testing.
• Lead test automation initiatives by developing reusable frameworks and improving coverage.
• Own release quality and production readiness with signoffs before deployments.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to SDETs and test engineers; set KPIs and best practices.
• Collaborate with Agile squads to translate requirements into testable stories.
• Ensure governance and compliance by traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.
• Manage defects, risks, and quality metrics, driving resolution and escalation as needed.
• Oversee non-functional testing including performance, capacity, and infrastructure testing.

The Impact You Will Have In This Role

Test Engineer Associate Director role will enable the organization to accelerate Data Governance and Metadata Management initiatives while reducing operational, regulatory, and audit risks. Through automation, governance domain expertise, and deep knowledge of metadata, lineage, Snowflake, Collibra, and Atacama platforms, the role will improve platform quality, enhance compliance readiness, increase delivery velocity, and establish a scalable testing capability that supports enterprise-wide governance and AI-driven data initiatives.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Define and drive test strategy across functional, regression, integration, performance, resiliency, and automation testing to ensure enterprise quality standards are met.
• Lead test automation initiatives by developing reusable frameworks, improving automation coverage, and promoting continuous quality practices
• Own release quality and production readiness, ensuring appropriate test coverage, regression execution, testing signoffs, and readiness approvals before production deployments.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to SDETs and test engineers while establishing testing standards, KPIs, and best practices.
• Partner closely with Agile squads, including Product Owners, Technology Leads, Developers, and Scrum Masters to define testable requirements and support sprint execution
• Ensure governance and compliance by maintaining traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and test results while adhering to DTCC SDLC, risk, security, and audit requirements.
• Manage defects, risks, and quality metrics, driving issues to resolution and escalating risks that could impact delivery or production stability.
• Oversee non-functional testing, including performance, capacity, stress, resiliency, environment, and infrastructure testing to validate platform reliability and operational readiness

Talents Needed For Success

• 5+ years of experience in data governance and metadata management
• 5+ years of development experience in Testing Automations, metadata management tools like Collibra, Atacama,
• 4+ years with ALM tools, Java/Python/ UNIX environments/SQL and Snowflake experience etc., relevant for testing automations
• Strong understanding of data cataloging, metadata management, data lineage, and data controls.
• Experience with data integration frameworks and governance tooling.
• Familiarity with AI-driven metadata enrichment and automation is preferred.
• Ability to handle teams in executing the testing frameworks across multiple projects
• Ability to quickly understand and adapt to new tools, platforms, and project requirements.
• Strong documentation skills for both technical and business audiences.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum).
• Proven ability to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
