Job summary

Amazon's Grocery Experience team is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build low-latency, scalable systems across frontend, middle tier, and backend, delivering seamless grocery experiences.

You will collaborate with Search, Detail Page, Offer Publishing, Personalization, and Fulfillment to tailor localized features for marketplaces, improve test coverage, and reduce technical debt while innovating.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the team. As a developer on this team, you will be responsible for delivering seamless and efficient experiences for Amazon's global grocery business. With a focus on efficiency, scalability, and customer-centric solutions, the Grocery Experience team plays a strategic role in shaping the future of Amazon's global grocery business. On our team, you will tackle a combination of challenges unique to grocery: regionality, speed, larger baskets, high repurchase rates, and seasonality. These challenges give our engineers a high level of influence outside of our org by needing to scale for problems no other retail program encounters.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
