Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and build low‑latency Concession Services across frontend, middle tier, and backend. You will work with Java, DynamoDB, Lambda and other AWS services, delivering scalable solutions for thousands of transactions per second.

You will participate in design discussions, code reviews, and cross‑functional collaboration with teams like WW Return & Recommerce, Amazon Business, and Ordering to deliver major features end‑to‑end.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 1+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

You will evaluate and implement new technologies to address complex challenges, working with tools and platforms such as Java, DynamoDB, Lambda, and other AWS services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing innovative software solutions to enhance the performance, availability, and durability of Concession Services.

• Writing high‑quality, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to Concession Services’ functionality.

• Staying current with the latest technology advancements to simplify architectures and improve systems.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience

• 1+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
