Software Development Engineer 2 – (Frontend)

Founded in 2021 by industry veterans Ramanathan RV (former co-founder of Juspay and creator of the UPI BHIM app) and Aishwarya Jaishankar (the banker behind India’s first digital savings account), Hyperface is building the modern operating system for credit cards, enabling banks and fintechs to launch, scale, and manage digital-first card programs with unmatched speed, control, and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to technical improvements.
• Debug and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
• Continuously learn new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve development processes.

Key Requirements:

• Deep expertise in React architecture, including Hooks, Context API, Custom Hooks, Suspense, Lazy Loading, rendering optimization, reusable component patterns, and scalable state management using Redux Toolkit/Zustand
• Experience designing scalable frontend systems using Micro Frontends, Module Federation, component-driven architecture, shared UI libraries, and enterprise design systems
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, responsive design, accessibility standards, Core Web Vitals, and modern tooling, including Webpack, Vite, Babel, ESLint, Storybook, and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, frontend security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC), and frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Playwright, and React Testing Library
• Strong exposure to AI‑assisted engineering workflows using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and AI‑powered IDE workflows for code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and engineering productivity improvement
