Job summary

Health Catalyst is seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and cloud data engineering. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based integration solutions for modern data platforms in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role emphasizes Snowflake analytics, AWS services (Glue, Lambda, SNS, S3), and Kafka-based workflows, with focus on RBAC and ABAC implementations to ensure secure data access.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and cloud data engineering.
• Hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines and cloud-based integration solutions.
• Strong foundation in SQL, Python, ETL/ELT concepts, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
• Build and optimize data warehouse solutions in Snowflake for analytics and reporting.
• Work with AWS services including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS SNS, AWS S3.
• Support integration with additional cloud technologies and data platforms as needed.
• Develop and manage event-driven and streaming workflows using Kafka (basic to medium level).
• Implement and maintain Snowflake capabilities such as RBAC and ABAC.
