• Expertise in Linux environments, including system-level programming, scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with networking protocols and traffic management technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and QUIC.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team. This is a hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering in the ZTNA department.

You will be a key part of the team that built the world’s largest cloud security platform from the ground up, working specifically within the ZPA Datapath team. We are seeking a visionary to help enhance our services and global footprint, ultimately enabling organizations worldwide to harness speed and agility through a cloud-first strategy.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
• 1 - 3 years of experience in a distributed and enterprise-scale environment
• Strong knowledge of C programming specifically for network‑related data handling and processing
• Expertise in Linux environments, including system‑level programming, scripting, and troubleshooting
• Experience with networking protocols and traffic management technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and QUIC

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Proven ability to apply AI/ML models or predictive analytics to optimize network traffic routing, detect Datapath anomalies, or improve cloud security platform efficiency
• Experience in L3 protocols, routing, and BGP
• Experience in cloud-based networking with a track record of proposing enhancements to improve system reliability, scalability, and network efficiency
