Job summary

Halliburton in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Landmark Software & Services Product Service Line. You will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Java applications, build RESTful and SOAP services, and architect microservices with Quarkus.

You will work with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, writing efficient SQL for data analysis and reporting. The role requires 6–10 years of Java experience, deep knowledge of J2EE and modern CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• 6–10 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong proficiency in J2EE, including Servlets, JSP, EJB, and JMS.
• Experience with Quarkus or similar microservices frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization, joins, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Solid understanding of database design and performance tuning across Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL DBs.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments, including shell scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with Maven for build automation and Git‑based CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Helm charts for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment.
• Experience integrating OAuth tools for secure authentication and authorization
• Ability to work independently as a strong individual contributor and mentor junior team members.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable code.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will work on innovative technologies as an integral member of the Information Management and Platform Technologies Development team within Halliburton’s Landmark Software & Services Product Service Line. • Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, and observability tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI technologies.

Characteristics: Proven technical abilities; strong communication, analytical and decision‑making skills; 8+ years of experience.
