Job summary

Prescience Insilico is looking for a talented software engineer with cloud architecture experience to design and deploy enterprise cloud applications. You will build robust backend services using Flask and Django, containerize with Docker, and collaborate with QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and product teams to deliver successful projects.

The role requires 2+ years in software engineering and cloud architecture, plus valid cloud certification (AWS or Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering and cloud architecture experience.
• Valid cloud certification from at least one major provider: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise cloud applications and manage deployment.
• Develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Flask, Django, and DRF.
• Containerize applications and manage deployments using Docker.
• Write shell scripts to automate development workflows, deployments, and system administration tasks.
• Design and implement database schemas and perform CRUD operations using MySQL, SQLite, and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and product management to deliver successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecting applications for enterprise clouds (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Deployment and maintenance of applications in the cloud.
• Develop robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Flask, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Containerize applications and manage deployment environments using Docker.
• Write shell scripts to automate development workflows, deployments, and system administration tasks.
• Design and implement database schemas and perform CRUD operations using MySQL, SQLite, and MongoDB.
• Participate actively in requirements gathering, system design, and architectural discussions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and unit testing to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date technical documentation for software projects.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and product management to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Utilize version control systems (Git) for source code management and collaboration.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies for project planning and execution (if applicable).

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering and cloud architecture.
• Valid cloud certification from at least one major cloud provider:
