Job summary

PTC is seeking a Software Technical Consultant in Pune, India. You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of highly secure and scalable software solutions, provide technical leadership to teams, and mentor junior staff while influencing development practices across the organization.

You will drive innovative concepts and participate in code reviews to ensure top-tier technical standards, collaborating with senior leaders and customers to align on strategic directions and promote

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors/masters degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in software development.
• Experience: 10+ years of server-side programming with Java.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design principles, and coding standards, with a focus on scalability and security.
• Knowledge of Windchill and AI Tooling is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GIT.
• Excellent communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Communicate effectively with senior leaders, external partners, and customers to ensure alignment and promote the organizations thought leadership in the field.
• Collaborate on achieving 100% automation in development processes.
• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and industry developments to ensure that products remain at the forefront of innovation.

Job Description: Software Technical Consultant

Exhibits advanced wide-ranging experience, using in-depth professional knowledge, acumen, concepts and company objectives to develop, resolve complex models and procedures. Provides solutions to issues in creative and effective ways. Understands the interrelationships of different disciplines. Directs the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Education: Bachelors/masters degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in software development.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in server-side programming with Java. Expertise in Java, J2EE, SQL, and a passion for clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design principles, and coding standards, with a focus on scalability and security. Proven ability to mentor junior developers and guide teams toward best practices.
• Extensive experience interacting with executive-level stakeholders (VP, SVP) and customers.
• Knowledge of PLM software, particularly Windchill and AI Tooling, is a strong advantage.
• Application Security understanding and implementable architecture solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like GIT.
• Excellent communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Document technical designs, code, and other project deliverables to ensure high-quality communication across the organization.
• Extensive experience interacting with stakeholders (Directors, VP of TPM, PM and Development) and customers.
