Job summary

Valuelabs is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to architect and run the organization’s security operations. The role requires hands-on expertise in CrowdStrike, SIEM, and DLP, with the ability to lead incident response, threat detection, and security policy programs.

You will oversee a team of security analysts, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and advise executives on cyber risk and resilience. Hybrid work from Hyderabad with immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in cybersecurity leadership or equivalent.
• Experience with CrowdStrike, SIEM, DLP, and email threat disposition.
• Hands-on expertise in incident response, SOC operations, and threat detection.

Responsibilities

• Lead IR planning, execution, and post-incident analysis.
• Act as Incident Commander during major security events; coordinate containment and recovery.
• Maintain 24/7 SOC readiness and ensure SLAs are met.
• Tune real-time correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards for threat detection.
• Automate threat data ingestion into SIEM and SOAR platforms.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures aligned with standards.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to protect data.

The "Cybersecurity Lead" will be a strategic and technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity operations. This role will oversee incident response, threat detection, compliance frameworks, and security monitoring infrastructureensuring proactive defense against evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert with deep technical proficiency in SIEM, log analysis, incident handling, and security policy implementation. They will lead a team of security analysts, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on cyber risk and resilience.

Role and Responsibility:

• Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of the organizations Incident Response (IR) Plan.
• Serve as Incident Commander during major security events; coordinate containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
• Maintain a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) readiness model and ensure SLAs are met.
• review and tune real-time correlation rules, alerts, and dashboards for threat detection.
• Perform regular tuning and false-positive reduction to improve detection accuracy.
• Lead the triage, classification, escalation, and documentation of security events.
• Automate ingestion and enrichment of threat data into SIEM and SOAR platforms.
• Document and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Compliance teams to maintain a robust data protection framework.
• Develop, review, and update information security policies, standards, and operational procedures.
• Ensure policies reflect current threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for employees.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security analysts and junior engineers.
