Job summary

Olyv, Inc. in Karnataka is seeking a security analyst with 4–6 years of experience to manage real-time monitoring, incident handling, and escalation of security events across multiple log sources.

You will lead end-to-end incident response, perform phishing and malware analysis, tune SIEM rules, and generate reports to help stakeholders stay informed and protect critical assets. The role requires collaboration with L1/L2 teams, documentation via SOPs, and ongoing improvement of detection

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in Infosec or security operations.
• Experience with SIEM tools such as QRadar, LogRhythm, Log360 and EDR/XDR like CrowdStrike and SentinelOne.
• Knowledge of DLP solutions.
• Proficiency in writing SIEM queries, regex, and log parsers; Python or PowerShell scripting is a plus.
• Certifications such as CEH, CHFI, GCIH, Security+.

Responsibilities

• Real-time monitoring and handling security events from multiple log sources.
• Second-level investigation of alerts from endpoints, email gateway, antivirus, and firewalls.
• Lead end-to-end incident response: analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident activities.
• Perform phishing and malware analysis.
• Handle escalations from L1 and stakeholders via calls and emails.
• Document breaches and responses in the SIEM and produce reports.
• Administer SIEM including user/role management, licenses, health monitoring, upgrades.
• Onboard new log sources and troubleshoot collection and parsing issues.
• Implement new systems into the SIEM and troubleshoot servers.
• Maintain and tune DLP policies and incident workflows.
• Manage vulnerability scanning and patch management cycles.
• Create, test, and tune SIEM correlation rules mapped to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Reduce false positives through rule tuning and whitelisting.
• Build dashboards, reports, and automated response playbooks.
• Threat hunting using logs and threat intel to close detection gaps.
• Mentor junior analysts and maintain SOPs/runbooks.

• Work on the implementation of new systems into the SIEM and troubleshoot servers.
• Maintain and tune DLP policies and incident workflows.
• Manage vulnerability scanning and patch management cycles.
• Create, test, and tune SIEM correlation rules, alerts, and use cases mapped to MITRE ATT&CK.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience with a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related technical domain from reputed organizations.
• Should have worked on SIEM tools like QRadar, LogRhythm, sentinelone, Log360 (including administration and correlation rule creation) and endpoint security like EDR, XDR (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Should have knowledge of any DLP solution from any vendor.
• Should have experience writing SIEM queries, regex, and log parsers; scripting in Python or PowerShell is an added advantage.
