Alike Thoughts is seeking a skilled SOC Analyst to join its Cyber Security Incident Response team in Bangalore. The role focuses on monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to defend against cyber threats.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, QRadar, Splunk), EDR (MS Defender), and DLP incident handling, plus strong analytical and communication skills. Onsite position with 24/7 rotational shifts, including nights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity/SOC.
• Onsite in Bangalore; 24/7 shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SOC team to detect, triage, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
• Monitor alerts from SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel preferred; QRadar, Splunk also considered).
• Investigate EDR incidents (MS Defender experience preferred).
• Manage and respond to DLP incidents effectively.
• Review escalated incidents and provide timely resolutions.
• Differentiate false positives from true intrusion attempts.
• Stay updated on vulnerabilities, advisories, and penetration techniques.
• Perform daily SOC tasks per defined processes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and incident response procedures.

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled SOC Analyst to join our Cyber Security Incident Response team. The role involves monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, ensuring proactive defense against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the SOC team to detect, triage, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
• Monitor and manage alerts from SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel preferred; QRadar, Splunk also considered).
• Handle and investigate EDR incidents (MS Defender experience preferred).
• Manage and respond to DLP incidents effectively.
• Review incidents escalated by Level 1 analysts and provide resolution.
• Identify and differentiate false positives from true intrusion attempts.
• Stay updated on the latest vulnerabilities, advisories, and penetration techniques.
• Perform and review daily SOC tasks as per defined processes.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and incident response procedures.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, QRadar, Splunk).
• Hands-on experience with EDR solutions (MS Defender).
• Working knowledge of DLP incident handling.
• Ability to recognize attack signatures and perform incident triage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
