The Data Center Engineering (DCE) team is looking for a passionate, results‑oriented, inventive Civil Engineer to drive design and construction in a client‑side technical lead role for the delivery of our enterprise data center campus projects. As part of the wider DCE Team, you will collaborate with Real Estate, Design Services, Construction and other partner teams, ensuring the successful delivery of design and meeting our industry‑leading quality and performance requirements.
Utilizing your Civil Engineering expertise, you will assess site constraints, develop acceleration strategies, support overall campus planning, development and construction. This position plays a pivotal role in delivering Data Center projects, requiring strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work with a large, dynamic team of internal stakeholders, customers, design consultants, developers, and general contractors.
Given Amazon’s global presence, 25% travel is required. This includes international travel to inspect and audit current and future data center sites. Collaboration with international teams is essential, and you may need to travel for workshops to develop schematic and detailed design documentation packages.
