Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years in data engineering, with 5+ years Snowflake experience.
• Hands-on with AWS/Azure/GCP and related services (S3, Glue, IAM).
• Experience with performance tuning, cost optimization, and data governance.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting.

• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze/Raw, Silver/Transform, Gold/Analytics layers) in Snowflake.
• Build ELT workflows using Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Fivetran/Kafka.
• Optimize ingestion via Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for near real-time data.
• Develop incremental models, snapshots, and parameterized stored procedures.
• Optimize ingestion via Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for near real-time data.
• Tune SQL queries, clustering, and partitioning for large datasets.
• Implement resource monitors, auto-suspend/resume, and workload isolation.
• Use Terraform and GitOps for IaC; integrate into CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams; ensure analytics-ready datasets.
• Implement RBAC, data masking, and tagging for security and compliance.

This role is responsible for architecting scalable data solutions on Snowflake, building high‑quality ELT pipelines, and delivering analytics‑ready datasets through optimized, secure, and automated data engineering practices.

What You'll Do:

• Data Architecture & Modeling: Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze/Raw, Silver/Transform, Gold/Analytics layers) in Snowflake.
• Design normalized and denormalized models, star/snowflake schemas, and data marts for BI/analytics.
• Pipeline Development: Build ELT workflows using Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and Fivetran/Kafka.
• Develop incremental models, snapshots, and parameterized stored procedures for business logic.
• Optimize ingestion via Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks for near real-time data.
• Performance & Cost Optimization: Tune SQL queries, clustering, and partitioning for large datasets.
• Implement resource monitors, auto-suspend/resume, and workload isolation for cost governance.
• Automation & CI/CD: Use Terraform and GitOps for IaC; integrate pipelines into CI/CD workflows.
• Build reusable templates for transformations and orchestration.
• Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver analytics-ready datasets.
• Implement RBAC, data masking, and tagging for compliance and security.
