We are looking for a hands-on Snowflake PlatformAdministrator to manage, optimize, and strengthen our Snowflake data platform. Ourtechnology environment supports business-critical financial servicesoperations, where data accuracy, security, availability, performance, andgovernance are essential. You will work closely with our Data Operations, DataEngineering, Database, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure thatdata moves reliably and securely across our ecosystem.
This is not a role focused only on routine Snowflakeadministration. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of theplatform, troubleshoot complex issues, automate repetitive processes, optimizecosts and performance, and progressively contribute to the overall architectureof our data environment.
A significant part of our data ecosystem also involvesMicrosoft SQL Server, making the ability to understand data movement anddependencies between SQL Server, Snowflake, and other enterprise systemsparticularly valuable.
What We Expect You to Do
Snowflake Platform Administration
- Administerand maintain Snowflake environments across Development, Testing/UAT, andProduction.
- Ownday-to-day platform health, availability, configuration, and operationalstability.
- Configureand manage databases, schemas, warehouses, roles, users, resourcemonitors, and other Snowflake objects.
- Establishstandards and best practices for managing Snowflake environments.
- Troubleshootplatform-level issues and work with Data Engineering and Database teams toresolve production problems.
- Supportplatform upgrades, new capabilities, and architectural improvements.
Performance & Cost Optimization
- Continuouslymonitor Snowflake warehouse utilization, query performance, storageconsumption, and credit usage.
- Optimizewarehouse sizing, auto-suspend, auto-resume, scaling, and workloadallocation.
- Identifyexpensive, inefficient, or poorly performing queries and work withrelevant teams to optimize them.
- Reviewquery profiles and execution patterns to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Optimizeclustering strategies, caching, materialized views, and other Snowflakeperformance features where appropriate.
- Establishresource monitors, alerts, and controls to prevent unnecessary Snowflakeconsumption.
- Providevisibility into platform usage and identify opportunities for costoptimization.
Our data environment involves significant interaction betweenSQL Server and Snowflake, and you will help ensure that data moves accuratelyand reliably between these platforms.
You will:
- Supportconnectivity and data movement between Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and other enterprise systems.
- Monitorand troubleshoot data ingestion and synchronization issues.
- Workwith Data Engineering teams to identify failures, latency, missingrecords, or data-quality issues within pipelines.
- SupportETL/ELT platforms and automated data integration workflows.
- Configureand maintain Snowpipe, stages, file formats, and ingestion processes.
- Validatedata movement between source systems and Snowflake.
- Assistin root-cause analysis where data discrepancies occur between source anddestination systems.
Security, RBAC & Access Management
Given the nature of the data we work with, security andcontrolled access are fundamental responsibilities of this role.
You will:
- Designand administer Snowflake Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Implementleast-privilege access principles across databases, schemas, tables, views, and warehouses.
- Manageuser provisioning, de-provisioning, service accounts, and roleassignments.
- Supportauthentication mechanisms including SSO, MFA, OAuth, and key-pairauthentication.
- Conductperiodic user and access reviews.
- Implementand maintain row-level access policies, column-level security, and dynamicdata masking.

Data Quality & Operational Reliability
We expect the Snowflake Administrator to look beyondinfrastructure and understand whether the data platform is operating correctlyfrom a business perspective.
You will:
- Monitorcritical data pipelines and scheduled workloads.
- Identifyfailed, incomplete, delayed, or abnormal data loads.
- Supportvalidation between source and destination datasets.
- Investigatedata discrepancies and assist with root-cause analysis.
- DevelopSQL-based validation and reconciliation checks.
- Helpautomate recurring data-quality and platform-health checks.
- Workclosely with Data Operations teams to improve reliability and reducemanual intervention.
Automation & Operational Improvement
We want to progressively reduce manual platformadministration.
You will:

- Developscripts and workflows for monitoring, access management, validation, deployment, and maintenance activities.
- SupportCI/CD implementation for Snowflake objects and database changes.
- Workwith Git-based deployment and version-control processes.
- Supportinfrastructure-as-code initiatives where applicable.
- Buildalerts and automated monitoring for failures, unusual consumption, security events, and platform-health issues.
- Continuouslyimprove operational processes and reduce dependency on manualintervention.
Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity
