Job summary

Marlabs in Bengaluru is seeking a Sitecore Upgrade Engineer to upgrade and refactor Sitecore XM/XP for 10.4 compatibility. You will rebuild components, renderings, templates, and pipelines in a side-by-side environment for a smooth migration.

Role requires 5+ years in Sitecore development, strong C#/.NET skills, and experience with Azure, Solr, and SPE scripting. Collaboration with DevOps and agile teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Sitecore development (XM/XP).
• Experience upgrading Sitecore 9.x/10.x and code refactoring.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, MVC, Web API and Sitecore pipelines.
• Experience with Sitecore content structures and serialization tools.
• Working knowledge of Azure and search indexing.

Responsibilities

• Execute code upgrade and refactoring for Sitecore XM 10.4 compatibility.
• Rebuild and migrate custom components, renderings, templates, and pipelines.
• Implement and validate content migration approaches (serialization, packages, DB upgrades, SPE scripts).
• Update Sitecore modules and third-party dependencies to 10.4-compatible versions.
• Modify and validate Sitecore configurations (App_Config, pipelines, indexing, caching).
• Support cloud migration tasks including Azure integration and env configs.
• Perform unit and integration testing and debugging during upgrade cycles.
• Assist in integration reconfiguration (APIs, authentication, external services).
• Collaborate with Tech Lead and DevOps for deployment, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

• Understanding of multi-environment deployments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
• Experience in debugging and resolving upgrade-related issues (dependency conflicts, API changes).
• Good understanding of integration patterns (REST APIs, authentication, data exchange).
• Ability to work in agile teams and collaborate across Dev, QA, and DevOps.
